Mother's Day: What Mothers Really Want

With Mother's Day coming up, I have qualms.English: Mother's Day card

The mother of all my Mother's Day qualms?

Should we tell our children what we really want?"Sure, honey. This is what I'd love. Here's my list. Get crackin'!"

  • A round-trip, first class, all expenses paid vacation to Bora Bora
  • A spa week in Provence, champagne included
  • Pay off my mortgage
  • A gaggle of grandchildren
  • Lifelong 24-7 tech help
  • A ruby red Maserati Gran Turismo Convertible

How can anything live up to the Mother's Day advertising hype and the commercial expectations? What do mothers really, really, really want?Probably we just want you to be healthy and happy :-)(so we can be sans qualms and free to frolic in Bora Bora)

*** Happy Mothers Day! ***

From the Oxford American Writer's Thesaurus:QUALMS: misgivings, doubts, second thoughts, worries, concerns, anxiety; hesitation, reluctance, apprehension, trepidation, unease.MISGIVINGS are even stronger, implying a disturbed state of mind because you're no longer confident that what you're doing is right (his misgivings about letting his 80-year-old mother drive herself home turned out to be justified).
